Missing sound files in AH2 directory
« on: December 27, 2006, 10:19:33 PM »
I have no problem with sounds in game.
Today I wanted to update some sounds with the Mitsu sound pack, and upon looking in my sound folder in my main Aces High 2 directory I found...nothing.
Nada...zip...zilch...zero.

No wav files at all.
I looked through every folder in the main directory, and found nothing.
So where in the heck is the game drawing all these sounds from?
Totaly confused on this.

There is probably some conflicting information about this since this aspect of AH has changed a bit.  It used to be that there was a 'sounds' folder within the AH folder alongside all of the others.  As of a recent version update, the factory supplied sounds are now contained within the application and you will no longer see a sounds folder in a standard installation of AH.

Adding a custom sound pack works just the same as it used to however.  You will be adding a 'sounds' folder (mitsu's in your case) to the AHII folder.  Just unzip the soundpack download.  This will create a folder called 'sounds' that contains many folders for each plane a vehicle type.  Copy this folder to the root of the AHII folder.  The game will now prefer these sounds to its own 'factory' sounds.

Hope this makes sense.
