OK, just tried running AH. First i get a white screen, then the vid config screen pops up. all option are greyed out except disable triple buffer, use Z buffer, (both are unchecked) and the 16 bit color option. clicking on anything brings up the following page fault error:

ACESHIGH caused an invalid page fault in
module ACESHIGH.EXE at 017f:0041e3d6.

The thing that gets me is i just ran AH last night with no problems. Also did a total reinstall of AH. even tried installing and running the 1.045 version, same thing. any ideas?

Thanks,

Forget never mind about it, I have just downloaded the full install and the I get an invalid page fault error in module aceshigh.exe from aceshigh too!!!!
I don't have a backup registry to fall back on (old newbie checking out the new version) so if anyone knows how to fix it can they please let me know.
I wonder how many others have downloaded the full version and had the same problem, then walked away?

Try deleting your video.cfg file from the AH setting folder to begin with.

I haven't installed AH before to delete any file, but this install does add the video.cfg file (and alot of others before crashing) and if I delete that and reinstall it makes no difference.  Installing into another directory doesn't help either.

After re-reading treadhead1's problem it seems mine is different....my invalid page fault happens when I am installing the game, not setting up the video hardware.
