Havent checked lately but I know that if you itr was on "On Demand" for a long time. May still be.

In one word, YES.

It's historically accurate "enough" but takes enough liberties to make it interesting to watch even if you know the story.

Last season was almost like Forrest Gump at Watergate with some of the explanations for how things went down.

Also, if you have on demand, you really should watch the first season (it was available as of this morning) before you watch the next, just so you can get to know the characters. Also, the last episode of season one is really something if you've seen all the previous ones.

Word of warning though, if you're only in it for huge battle scenes, you will be dissappointed. They simply aren't there. At least not in season 1.

Second word of warning.

Might not be suitable for kids as the series is done pretty much like Rome really was.

So. Needless to say there is alot of violence and nudity.

I let my 9 year old watch it.
But explained to her along the way that that is just how things were back then using it kinda like an educational tool.

Now before people jump on me about its accuracy.
Its close enough.
And sure is a hell of alot more accurate then the Teaching of Columbus discovering America LOL

And its done well enough and covers enough of actual events to spark an interest.
And witrh kids. Or at least mine in particular.
Sometimes thats all that needed for them want to start to explore and learn on their own.

I started AH when I was 12 and have since soaked up as much info as I can glean from the forum and the public libraries here.

HBO does some great stuff, and On Demand is excellent.
