Vermont Friends.....
« on: January 06, 2007, 12:23:40 AM »
Monday, January 15th - Sunday, January 21st I have rented a monster house on Stratton Mountain.  (Sleeps 25).  Gonna be a lot of partying.  Anyways, depending on conditions, I plan on Skiing Mon-Sat.  If anyone has some time off and can make one of those days skiing, PM me, and maybe we can get together for some runs and then some beers.

furthermore, it sounds like the conditions suck up there right now huh?  Stratton is only showing 43 trails open today, and the 10 days doesnt look like any snow...(rain).  But if you have gone to any of the mountains this season, are they as bad as it looks?  If so, are they offering any discounted rate for tix?

let me know

thanks

All of the houses I have ever rented have been at Killington.  Bar scene is a lot of fun (Pickle Barrell, wobbley barn).  Wheres the good night life at Stratton?

I have no idea where Stratton is, but I drove past Okemo last weekend and there seemed to be some snow...  There was definately some snow up near Ticonderoga NY.

Come to think of it, I wonder where Stratton is?

Where you from, Plattsburgh or so?

Weird indeed.  On New Years Eve, everyone got iced in where they were by a very bad freezing rain storm.  By the next day, all was well.

Then again, on the Friday night before New Years, it was warm and toasty, and the next morning, snow.

Yup, pretty weird stuff for sure. I'm about 20 miles North of Plattsburgh. I could throw a stone at out Canadian neighbors.....not that I would do that hehe.
