When i have Vertex Prossesing Checked in my Video Options, The game Crashes Constantly.

I am running
AM2 4800+
2GB Ram
ATI X850 XT PCIE

DXDIAG shows all Good. Drivers are updated. Im lost here

I built this computer to run every game out and this simple game is giving me the most problems.

Vertex Processing is not likely to be your problem as that's a fairly widely used option by most players.

My suggestion would be to call Skuzzy at Hitech Creations (817.251.1540) though you probably won't reach him until Tuesday morning CST.

While I'm no geek expert it seems as though you might have a corrupt video game file if everything else is running as it should. If you don't get a solution back from one of the forum members, I'd suggest a clean download/reinstall of the game.

Couple of questions you'll probably be asked...
What kind of monitor?
What are your video card settings set to?
What wattage is your power supply?

Good luck and welcome to the virtual, war torn skies of AH.

One more question...have you ever had the game launched since your initial installation?

If so, any joystick settings and head position tweaks you've made will be lost unless you have a copy of your SETTINGS folder in the AH sub-directory. Trouble is, a number of video files are also in that folder so be careful if you decide to overwrite the new SETTINGS with old.

Posting the first third to half of the DXdiag here is also very helpfully. You said drivers are up to date, but newest isn't always best. Also, when you say "crashes" whats happening? Crash to desktop... game freezes/locks up... what? more details the better in tracking down troubles.

Skuzzy doesn't have a life :D much like the rest of us, and he checks out the boards fairly often, so if you post enough info here you might get an answer sooner.

AM2?  Would that be a dual core AMD CPU?  If so, you also need to install the patch from AMD (dual core optimizer) which addresses some issues with the dual core CPU's from AMD.

Also, can it be assumed you did install the INF files for the motherboard?

Is it safe to assume everything in the computer is running at default speeds?  No overclocking?

At this point, it would be best to see a DXDIAG output and get a better description of exactly what happens when you start the game.

As I have that very video card in one of my home systems (Intel CPU), I can attest it does work really well with the game.

In answer to some Questions.

I reinstalled the Game twice, Deleted everything both times.
The game will freeze( on loading, After clcking anything, After making it into a server, The clipboard goes nuts if i leave the game running to long.

I unchecked HVP which unchecks the Optimize Options be default. And the game runs smooth, just Fog and things of that nature tend to be more like White sheets of paper blocking my view of the world casusing me to fly into moutains and trees.

Yes i have Dual Core. AM2 is the new socket

I will DL that driver for dualcores.

I installed everything that came with the computer. so im sure my motherboards inf files are installed.

More details as soon as i get a day off from work.

The spinning clipboard says you do not have the dual core patch installed from AMD.  It also means you will have a number of other problems with the game without that patch.

If you do not want to install the patch, then right-click on the Aces High II startup ICON, select "Properties", then select the "Compatibility" tab and set the compatibility mode to "Windows 98/ME".  This just forces the game to run on one CPU.  It is a hack to get the game running without the AMD patch installed.

I know you have a PCI-E board, but -
I had the same problem after upgrading to a AGP 7800GS.
If I enabled vertex processing the game crashed.

Solution -
Went into the BIOS and increased the PCI latency from 128 to 256.
These newer cards really hog the buses.
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
