setting up/switching hat views
« on: March 30, 2001, 04:10:00 PM »
hi,
i read thru the help-files, but i can't find out how to switch from hat views 1 to 2 to assign the left-back-right, left-front-right etc. views to the 2nd set.
using a TM Topgun Platinum (w/throttle) in AirWarrior i had 2 sets of 4 views each i could toggle between them with the 'pinky' button.

thnx !

lol i loved that cheapo stick with tm pedals, went thru about 15 of the fuggers (cheap wiring and pots).

what you most likely need to do is in the stick mapping in setup is in stick set 1 "column" highlight the stick set 2 (row), press the pinky button then set button.

then (unlike aw it probably will not auto go back to view set 1 when u release pinky) is  in set 2 "column" highlight stick set 1 (row) and then press pinky button and set.

presto u have your view toggle, but you'll have to click each time to switch views.

no problem, that's how i had it set up in AW too.

together with the option to change viewpoints with cursor & pg up/dwn and save with F10 this is just great !

Goner, there's a good article at Lephturn's web site on view settings:http://users.andara.com/~sconrad/

Also, it's one of the things that can be backed up, save everything in here: C:\games\Aces High\settings

worth it, as you have to set seat position in every plane.

You can also swap 'em with other players.
