Question about the Server Reboot
« on: January 15, 2007, 07:44:17 AM »
Last night, somewhere around 9 PM, we all got a mass dump out of the arenas.  It wasn't long before we were back at it.  Kudos to HiTech for having a system that recovers that fast.

Question - I had two base captures in MID after the reset, but before the dump.  After the dump, I don't see them in my scores.  Are they gone for good?

Forgotten, but back in the game.  :)

Scores are pretty whacky right now... The expanded stats for this tour don't work at all, nor do they work for tours 41-59 for some reason, so I wouldn't trust them. Could be that they just haven't updated yet.

All signs of growing pains. Looks like HT made some great decisions for the Company. :aok

I also notice less FLAK so to speak on the BBS, which is nice too.

when the arena came back up, you were not back in yet and those points were just sitting there on the ground.

a couple of us split them up so no one would accidentaly trip over 'em.  You don't need to thank us, saftey of players is always foremost.

The problem is one server is running out of memory. When this happens the SQL server process dies. When this process dies, the game keeps running, but you get abnormalities like perk points seem lost, and any thing scored during the time the sql server is down, does not get recorded.

Last week we made 2 attempts at putting more memory in the primary server. We wanted to have it installed for this week end to prevent sundays crash, hence why we were trying the upgrade late friday.

For some reason the memory has not been compatible with the mother board. We should have the issue resolved before next weekend.

Certainly seems like a mystery.

Been good for AvA, though.
