In addition to Stefani Powers (previously linked),
Stephanie Zimbalist
http://www.stephaniezimbalist.de/galleries/szpic22.jpgNotice how great she looks even without the standard star makeup.
A lot of us seem to favor sweet looking women with long dark hair who appear intelligent, charming, and sexy.
Audrey Hepburn? That might generate some interesting analysis. She seemed mostly like a precocious neighbor daughter. Tendency toward over-emoting, e.g., in some western (The Unforgiven?) panning those wide pixie eyes up at a buncha geese flying overhead and gushing a throwaway line that evokes thoughts like, "Oh Audrey, there you go again. Get over it, girl."
Yvonne DeCarlo? Yeah, alluring even old and campy in the Munsters. And of course Sophia Loren, poster girl for WWII survivor success. Some other impressive brunettes go unmemorized despite many appearances in Grade B movies and TV series.
Beauty definitely in the eye of the beholder.
