It would be good if GV's which stayed static, or not moving, were harder to see from the air.  Say if you stayed in one spot for 5 minutes, like in a forested area, the air cons couln't see the little black dot of a gv unless they were maybe within 200 or something.  Just an idea.

Not sure I like that idea but what about if there were areas of camoflage netting spread around the VB, open in different directions for defensive purposes and big enough that a plane would have to guess where or even if you were under it.

Also, instead of blowing up and burning, when hit by a bomb it would simply tear an opening or possibly even collapse one corner.  You on the other hand, if hit by the bomb would suffer normal damage/death.

These could also be placed strategically just off-base.

AA vehicles would still have to remain in the open or just at the edge of the nets for a clear shot.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Its a good idea, just the "dot" you see is really a bug. A few updates ago you couldn't see a "dot" until you were about 500 ft out (At default quality). You did however see the ID tag.

I have been able to see GV dot for as long as I have been playing '04.

I don't know what you're talking about "bug".
I don't mind em seeing my dot in the open.
It kind of sucks when they spot it from 6k and I'm in the trees though.

I am not sure what he means by this either.  Last night I was about 3k above a gv hidding in the trees (bronk).  I saw the 'dot' clear as day, dove down and dropped a bomb.

Well, then apparently your computer's vid card had something going, cause about 1 1/2 years back my up-to-date version of aces high would not allow me to see a GV as a "dot" until you got up to about 500 yards / feet away.

The dot has a lot to do with your view settings & quality settings.

I like the idea of GV's being able to deploy camo anywhere at anytime as long as they are stopped. It's way to easy for air cons to see GV's even though they are in the trees. There was a time back in my first few weeks that being in the trees helped a lot, I didn't fly much then but it seemed they had to get close to see you, where now you can't hide period.

I'll say it again.

I have aways been able to spot GVs in trees.
However at one time trees were like a ubatonium umbrella.

Once parked under them nothing dropped could hit you.
That has been fixed.

Like I said out in the open np with the dot.
But once under cover of trees dot should go away.

I have no idea if this can be implemented or not due to programing restrictions.

I hear you bronk, but I'm here to tell you that the settings you use make a difference in that. When I fly with everything cranked up, I can't see GV's as well as I can with my settings on performance & ground view selected.

I've been playing since 04 myself iirc & in the first few weeks I played you could duck into the trees & they had a hard time spotting you. When they did you knew it because they would either drop ord on you or buzz your position & strafe to point you out to enemy GV's.

This is one of those situations that the individuals mileage varies.
