I'm posting this because of the comments that seemed agreed upon by many to the affect that "the media" remains the sole conduit through which we get info not just about Iraq, but also responses by our leaders.
I found that one can go to the Sentate Foreign Relations Cmte and see the hearings on video w/out the color commentary by newsmen and women.
I clicked on some links and dispaired that I could not watch. But after a bit, real player popped up and I'm now watching Condi Rice's opening statements.
I think this way to find out "what's what" preferable to listening, watching, or even reading what so and so said and here's what we (media) have to say about it.
One can quibble about my "what's what" phrase. My point is, we need not rely upon the "media" as it most commonly understood for our information.
