freeze & red out

Trouble 1.

FE freeze when some sound is playing. In this case, all I can do is to
reboot PC. I experienced the case at both of online, offline.
However, this trouble don't happen in ground (tower,hanger,map room)

Trouble 2.

Screen went red when flying (ex. level flight in auto trim).
Only engine sounds and plane never fall into ground.
I can use ".ef" command to quit the flight.

Gentlemen, and Lady,

I got the red screen freeze for the first time today.

 I did not think to try .ef but nothing else worked and I had to reboot.

Bummer, do you know how long it takes to get a B17 to 26,000 feet?

The only thing I have in common with ons is CPU and sound card and from traffic in this thread the red freeze is rare so maybe one of these common specs is involved.

System:
Win 98
Celeron(=ons) 366  (no overclocking)
V770 TNT2 (not ultra)
Soundblaster Live Value (=ons)
192MB RAM
1024x768/32bit selected
CH Flightstick Pro (I know, I know, but I like it and it works well for a lefty.)

As stated, this is the first time this happened to me and I have been flying the beta since day one.

A lot of hours too, over 200, good thing it is free.

The only reason I mention the approx. hours is to highlight the fact that this has been an extremely stable beta on my machine.

I only fly the B17 online and represent a minority but...

I am seriously considering at least one month extra, if only to repay a bit.
And see if you do something about those B17 cowlings, I almost crash every time I look left, they are scary!
