Completely agree 100% on that.  See those that have less than 100 kills and yet be in the top 10 for fighter ranks...dont see how this is possible. :huh

I only fly perk planes and my 38 scored as fighter to see how well I fly my 38 for that tour.  All other planes will go in attack.

Zhang once told me......he play Ah2 as a ""Real Flight Combat""
He always think about survive.....before any kill.....how about you.....
BTW:

In Real Combat survival is not main goal. You have orders you must to carry out, targets you must destroy, friends you must help and so. Fighter who thinks about his own survival in combat in first place is not a fighter but coward.

But AH is not real combat, its a game.

You realy think hurr's pilots thinks about their lives in first place when they intercepts Ju88 formations? Or TBF pilots flying through AAA hellfire into torpedo range? How about infantry charging another height under machine-guns fire?
War is not a game. Individual's live has low value there.

Of course AH2 is not a Real WAR......just a Game....
But just try to tell yourself.....If this is real......
Anyway, just a game, and you have your way to play it.....
But......even in real war......doesn't mean Survive isn't important...
However, if you are a real Jap fighter pilot near the end of WW2...
then it will be another story.....:O

Thomas McGuire attempting to clear his wingman's 6.
Randy Cuningham turned back to help his wingman who was incircled, he didn't think he would even get out alive if he turned back but he did anyway.

It comes down to personality of the fighter pilot. If you can live with letting your wingman die, then you will think about your life above others.

ya, i would submit that ww2 aviators, as well as pilots today, knowingly placed themselves in harms way for the purpose of a greater good.  whether it was saving their wingman or performing dangerous straffing runs.  i don't think any country can win a war by running away at the sight of the enemy:)  i would wager most pilots get scared after they land their bird and have time to think about the events that transpired.

Skawk's a good guy IMO . He has put his online life on the line for me more than once . Fun to be around and fly with every time I have had the privilege to do so .

Enough said .
