Does anybody have any info on this twin gunpod? The MG151/20 gun in the FW190A's wing only weighs 93lbs, but on the 110G the dual gunpod weighs 681 pounds total, of which 195 is ammo, leaving 486lbs for the pod itself. That comes out to 243lbs per gun, which should only weigh 93lbs according to the Fw190A-8. Now I realize some of that's going to be a mount and ammo canister, but almost 300lbs of dead weight?
I'd like to compare this to actual documents but some internet searches have turned up no technical info about this particular gunpod. It's also the same gunpod that was attached to a decent number of Fw190A-5s, A-6s, and A-8s for bomber killing duties.
