Monitor went black // widescreen work?

Alright, today I was editing some film in AH Film Viewer and all of a sudden my monitor went 'blank".  No little picture saying it was disconnected, could still here the film running but no picture.  Tried all the cables and nothing.  Tried hooking it up to my laptop and it still didn't work.  Even when I plug it into the wall it won't bring up the 'disconnect' picture.  So, looking at getting a new monitor.  Do Widescreens work with AH or not?  ANd if so how do you set up the resolution.  Thanks for the help ahead of time.

I just pluged my in and it found it plug and play. Yes wide screen dose work in AH. Then set it to the res that u like. No differnt than any other monitor really. Except I can put the football game down in the corner PIP and watch and play.
Its a HYUNDAI 32 in LCD. Got it from Tiger Direct pretty resonable also.

Widesscreens are fine for AH but Widescreen resolutions aren't so hot unless you use Track IR.-
