Help please with a new computer?
« on: April 02, 2007, 04:34:03 PM »
Ok,I am kinda in the dark with all the new computer hardware and havent a clue as to what to buy,the more I read the more confused I get,I would like to keep it under 2000 dollars or a tad over would be ok.

I look at some of the screen shots you guys and gals post and just drool at what some of you people are playing on and mine just sucks.

I pretty sure I can assymble it togather, just need to know what to buy.I would like something that runs this game easily with the great grafix that I see in some of the screen shots you guys post.

I'm almost postive I will land more kills if I could "see" a lot better than this fuzzy crap I looking at now and since the last up grade, its been worst...I play on a lap top now and I'm sure the video card sucks.

I would like links and or part numbers to the parts to be used to get me up to speed.

Thanks
Tim

Research, research and yet still more research.

Ever hour you spend now before the build will save you time, money and hair torn from the top of your head.

Yes you CAN do it!

If your a first time builder a couple of tips.

Buy a Motherboard bundle from a reputable dealer, ie Mwave, newegg.
Mwave has a install & test for only 9$. The confidence of knowing beyond a doubt that this all worked is worth every penny. Not to mention that they won't build a combo thats not compatable, ie you can't buy the wrong memory for it.
Its ready to drop into the case and lets you get on with the rest of the build.

Also, before you do ANYTHING, sit down with the motherboard manual and read it. And then read it again, until you understand exactly what is happening, what has to happen, and what order things need to happen in. I can't stress this one enough.
