i WAS TOLD THAT THE [ AND ] KEYS WOULD ZOOM IN LIKE ON MOST OTHER GAMES WHEN YOU WHERE IN THE NO.2 POSITION FIRING THE MAIN GUN, ALL I CAN SEEM TO DO AT BEST IS MOVE MY HEAD POSITION FORWARD. SO MY QUESTION IS THIS, I HAVE THE CORRECT KEYS MAPPED AS THEY CAME WITH THE GAME. CAN I ZOOM IN AND OUT USING THEM WHILE FIRING THE MAIN GUN? EVERY OTHER WW2 GAME I HAVE PLAYED YOU CAN MAGNIFY YOUR VIEW AS WITH AS SCOPE. VAN THIS BE DONE HERE IF SO HOW? THE [ AND ] KEYS FROM WHAT I CAN SEE ONLY WORK OFFLINE WHEN YOU ARE IN EXTERNAL VIEW AND THEN ONLY ZOOM IN AND OUT ON THE TANKYOU ARE IN. ALSO I KNOW THIS IS THE WRONG LOCATION BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE OR IF SOMEONE HAS PHOTOSHOP LAYERED TEMPLATES FOR THE CUSTOM SKINS MAKING PROCESS. WE HAD THEM IN NASCAR 2003 AND THE LAYERS MAKE A NEW PAINT JOB A BREEEZE. IF NOONE HAS YET TO MAKE ANY TEMPLATES MAYBE I WILL MAKE A FEW AND SEE HOW IT GOES. THE LAYERED TEMPLATES MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE WHEN YOU CAN CHANGE INDIVIDUAL ITEMS WITHOUT REDOING THINGS LIKE RIVITS OR SHADOWING. THANX THO63 SORRY 4 THE ALL CAPS BUT I NEED THEM, THAT IS WHY I ASKED ABOUT OPTICS FOR BIG GUNS, NEEED ALL THE MAGNIFICATION I CAN GET.

First, please, please, please, turn your cap locks off before typing!

Second, the [ and ] keys only work when you're already zoomed in. You must toggle the zoom button first (z) then while in zoom hit [ or ].

Although it has been forever since my views were reset to standard, I seem to recall the default view at the gunsight shows you looking at the entire gunsight - that is, it looks like you haven't yet put your face on the sight. You can see the inside of the turret along with the gunsight.

Before zooming, push your up arrow. It should move your "face" forward into the sighting mechanism. You will be able to tell you need to do this if you see anything around the edges other than black.

If this is your problem, you will notice an extreme difference right away. But before zooming any further, hit your F10 key to lock your head position. This way you do not have to hit the up arrow each time you switch to the #2 position . . . your face will already be up against the sights.

Ctrl + Mousewheel changes the size of the text.

thanx again learned everything i asked in under 5 hours, got the skin templte things too. now i just have to stop playing long enough to paint them and figure out what i need to meet submission requirements. would love to form my own squad with confederate themed schemes and name. that will have to keep 4 a while time to fly!!!!!
