I have seen many crazy things in the arena..... t34 cant shoot through a blade of grass,  tanks disappearing into a mound ... i cant kill...but he can...  and most of all... enemy spawning directly onto a base.  Is someone working on this, and I see a game ID with 23 sorties... and  342 kills.  I've been playing a little while..... but ..never have I got that many kills.... and I think that I am better than average as a player.  Things concern me, and many others.... let me  know.....  "Eaglehrt"

I don't know of any map where the enemy spawns directly onto a base. If you see this you need to say what map and what base to get it corrected.

The 23 sorties and 342 kills is very possible. That's only 14-15 kills per sortie and if he/she spawn camps it's very easy to do. Quite a while ago I personally landed a 110 kill sortie in a tiger (or was it a panzer?).

as nhawk rightly points out if they were spawn camping its easy to do.

I think recently I managed to get 20 kills in the space of a frantic 2 minutes. Popping 3 different guys spawning in at a port.

Naughty me but Im no GV dweeb and i take as much as i can get in the shortest amount of time  :)

eagle, it's a very easy thing to get more than 100 kills in gvs. this is how i do it:

1) get on a hill with another teamate or more (more is better).
2) zoom your cannon with [] and z
3) aim for back of tanks (weak spots)

and also have 1 of ur teamates look in the 6 o'clock position of the hill because enemies might sneak up on you. when you're landing your kills, ask a teamate to escort you. (if you have total control at that sector than go by urself).

  the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

yeah....uhm i play in 8 player only, blagard come there if u want, i gotten those kills like 1 1/2 ago in my very old account called d23. right now my ID in 8 player is Titanic3 lol. same thing. :D

I've had 46 kills in a Tiger before camping in the indestructable building.  I ran for the IB just after the base was taken from us, then we took the base back and I got to land em all.  I've also had a similar number just spawn camping.

Vehicles can't shoot "through" anything, even the grass.  You have to have a clear field of view.

Dissapearing into mounds sounds more like dissapearing behind mounds.  When a vehicle goes behind a mound, if your ground detail is turned up and you're in the turret of a tank with zoom up you can actually see a "ghost" of that vehicle behind the mound.

As to spawning onto a friendly base it sounds like you've got ground detail turned down so you can't see them until they are about 800-1000 out.  Turn ground detail to 3 miles before you up a vehicle (in set-up).

Well to make it short... the sorties were not ground vehicles... it was fighters,  My ground detail is great, even 60 fps.  when I say that the tank was inside the mound.... me and my squadies were on top of the mound where the tank was, and it was very clear,,,,, the tank was shooting from inside of the mound.  ..... just recently I had a tank spawn in the VH backwards facing the  Hard Hanger on a Port.  I was there facing the VH to kill anything that spawned, I had just de-acked it with a 34.  There have been some very questionable things happen recently.  15 to 16 kills per sortie.... I dont think so... lets say he only got 1 on one sorite... so the next he would have had gotten 32......  see what I mean.

he didn't spawn backwards, he spawned and turned his turret before your front end recognized it.

if gvs are spawning on your base, were they lvts, if so then a cv group was close enuff  to your base.

most things are very explainable. as someone stated already, map names, and films or screen shots would help identify any real problems.

If 'inside the mound' is near a shore battery that is also explainable. There is/was a bug where GVs could sort of hide near the base of a shore battery.

There have been players known to possess 2nd accounts who just go vulch their own second account (or a buddy's account) to grab score and make themselves look better than they are.  Sad but true and I don't think there's much that can be done about it if they are willing to pay for it.

I just want to be sure we are talking about the same thing.  I'm tlking about going to setup/options/graphic options and setting the ground detail slider to 3 miles.  Frame rates have nothing to do with this.

I know there was a bug at one point that allowed this from time to time.  I thought it had been corrected but obviously not if this was recent.  It seems to be pretty rare.  I've only heard about it 2-3 times in 6 years.
