Joystick doesn't work

For some reason, Aces High will not detect my Joystick after I got 1.08. My computer detects it, but not AH. I have a 1ghz PIII, 3d Prophet Geforce DDR DVI, 128 megs of 800 mhz RDRAM

Oh, and I have a Turtle Beach Montego II sound card, and a Microsoft Sidewinder 3-d Pro joystick
