Is there a way to fix it?
« Reply #30 on: January 26, 2007, 01:00:40 PM »
Well think about it. We had 1 MA for years and it ran fairly well. We get the new system and the ENY needs fixed, new capture system, arenas get horded. It seems like there are endless fixes to fix the fix.
I dont care about the hordes. I shy away from blue because of it. The biggest thing i hate is the maps. Something needs to be done. bring the big ones back. Everyone is getting burned out.

Snip from another thread

Hitech posted
"We now commonly cross 820 people online, and we are continuing to grow at a rapid pace. How do you see 1000 ,2000,5000 people in 1 arena playing let alone the tech problems in doing that.

Since we have made the split arena, every piece of data has been better.

# of deletes per month has been down.
# of new accounts has been up
% of players converting from free accounts to paying is substantial up.
average number of hours player per person is up.

So the answer to your question did the arena split work, I can absolutly state
it has worked exceeding well.

So is the current system perfect. Nope nothing is , always looking for ways to do it better.

But you might as well forget about the idea of going back, because it isn't going to happen. "

Somehow, i see no single MA in our future. :D

You've seen the light.

HT has said we aren't going back to what once was...and you quoted it.

You're right Sax, at some point the side with a numbers advantage achieves a critical mass that can't be stopped.  But, I could care less about the base capture path, again the process provokes better tactics and teamwork.  The maps weren't really built for that type of capture system.  Perhaps in the future they will be.

Again, just my opinion...
