v strange joystick problem........

All worked fine for ages, suddenly two of my buttons (7 & 8) stopped working.  

I checked stick mapping, all correct, nothing has changed in Aces High setup.  In the stick mapping screen nothing shows when I press 7 or 8, when pressing any other j/s button it highlights itself dark grey so AH isnt seeing an input.

Checked in windoze, the buttons work fine in control panel.  Checked in another game (EAW) and yep, they work fine.

Well, you could probably try switching to the mouse in Ah, then rebooting and switching back to your M$ stick.  If that doesn't work perhaps deleting the joystick.cfg file will boot AH back into shape.  (I don't know if this is safe, so if it doesn't work you would be looking at an AH reinstall.  A reinstall would probably fix it as well, but you are going to have to delete the settings directory and after reinstalling reseting all your keymapping, stick mapping, views, etc.   )

I suppose you could also e-mail or call HT himself.  I'm sure he could tell you if deleting this file is ok.  My guess is AH will just recreate it (like the video.cfg file) if you delete it.
