The Storm Bird built up too much speed in diving attacks, making the plane almost uncontrollable and very inaccurate when making dive attack runs. It was also gimped in the guns department with only 2x 30mm cannons. The only ordnance it could drop with any sort of accuracy were cluster munitions (and you don't have to be accurate with these ordnances) dropped using horizontal attacks at low level.

I don't know if I'd use the 2 x 500Kgs much, but the R4Ms were deadly vs bomber formations.
My book on the 262 has a page on the dive-bombing profile - it is odd to say the least. The 262 drivers would come in high, then dive down to about 15K and cut their bombs loose - not the best thing for divebombing accuracy. The explanation was that they were trying to avoid AAA fire.
I'd like to see the 262 A-2 just because I'd like to see 262 drivers diving into the heavy ack on ground attack instead of just cherry picking. It might also make for more bomber interceptions - a lot of the 262 drivers I see don't seem to want to put their precious perks at risk by getting into it with the bombers defensive guns.
