Blue Screen of Death and DX8 Beta
« on: July 09, 2001, 06:44:00 PM »
Ever since I installed the DX8 Beta, when I play the non-dx or dx beta versions and shut down, I get a blue screen of death that requires a HARD reset.

This has only occured since I installed the beta.  If I uninstall AH and all reg key entires, reinstall normal version, no problems.

Also, sometimes when I quit Aces High, it gives me an error during the exit.

Strange.

ok  I don't know about the Blue screen  but maybe it is related to this.  Set RW to WAV recording and play back.  DON"T USE DIRECTSOUND.!!  This should cure the Error message.

Yep, dx8 is still buggy.  You have to set RW to Wav recording to fix the error on shutdown.  (Either that or start RW seperate from AH.)

What exactly is the BOSD saying?... You can usually trace back to what was the cause of the program.. what programs were in memory at the time of crash, as well as what resources were being used.
