Not to speak out of place...but I believe that in the AvA, and the MA we fight as a squad. We clear each others 6's, we drag, we rope, we do what it takes, as a team, to clear the skies of red. We up together, we cover each other while rtb'ing...basically as 'real' and 'historical' as a cartoon can be.
To be upset because we flock to cover a wounded comrade and fly somewhat historical tactics...is silly. If a squaddie calls for help, I'll burn my engine up trying to get to him...isn't that how you would expect a WW2 squad to fly? Join/Create/recruit an AvA squad of your own so that you can have that kind of support and camaraderie as well.
I thought last night was a great deal of fun, and like storch said...I died more last night than I have in a VERY long time. Platano flew that P-40 so well I quickly decided if I saw a P-40 to quickly turn the other way.
I remember when Platano and I were both n00bs...now he is one of the best pilots I've seen...I'm still a n00b though.
About vulching, I don't know that I ever even made it to the allied airfield to be able to vulch... And trust me...there were PLENTY of allied fellas hoing the living daylights out of me to make up for any axis hoing. I was hoed in a 1 engined 110 limping back to base for crying out loud. But..it's ok. I personally never ho, but if that's how someone wants to get their kicks..who am I to gripe.
Anyhow,
to all who participated!
