Ability to set default skin on your system.
« on: January 28, 2007, 10:18:46 AM »
So those of us in historical squads can fly in the "proper" markings for missions and in film viewer. Would sort of help with the mission planner being unable to set a skin, and would also be a good stop-gap for film viewer instead of saving the skins of everyone else in the air. At least you could be in the prper markings for your unit.

Hate having great formation shots in film viewer with only 1 skin (mine) being in the proper markings, the rest conspicuously different.

Just a little thing, but would be nice.

Not be able to alter the skin, but for example, have a new option on the right-click menu that pops up when you right click on a skin in hangar to "set as default". Would be a skin that is already in the folder, and wouldn't affect how anyone around you views the game, but just how your system displays an aircraft.

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I'd honestly rather have the film recording properly record what skins each pilot uses in the first place.

I STILL want a more flexible, intuitive, and functional film player/editor.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I was thinking along the lines of "they might be able to do this without too much fuss" before they can get into the "we have to reprogram the interface or game for this".

Trying to meet 'em halfway here.

I agree.  Nothing looks nicer then a bunch of birds up in historically correct skins, in particular if you have a mix of correct squadron markings.

4th, 56th, 80th, 475th, etc all have a number of skins that are accurate for their particular birds.

Always a bummer when reviewing a film to see one correct skin then and all the rest defaults.  It looks so much better in the correct colors :)

Nah, all those beautiful  green-spinnered P-38s I have recorded didn't enter into the idea at all Dan... :D
