I once took out a buff with a shore battery round. I was shooting GV's with it and when I zoomed back out there was a set of low level lancs inbound along the spawn line. The gun had traverse on the area between the spawn and base for a reasonable junk. I laid the gun back to where i'd been shooting and bumped the elevation (I had written range numbers for my ranging shot down) a bit and one timed it....of course i've futilly shot at planes in shore battery ever since......

Anyone remember the 262 vs. 262 kill Tac posted ages ago? 1 round fired from about a click away as the victim extended. Was funny watching the tracer just keep going and going. Lucky as hell but quite the shot.

BTW I completely agree about Festerbria and Torque. I had the misfortune of encountering Torque on an alarmingly frequent basis when I first started playing AH almost 7 years ago (gawd has it really been that long?). As a result I still take a certain sense of glee whenever I shoot an F4u. He made the already steep learning curve seem more like a wall to me.

Fester was a squaddie of mine for quite a while. Flying with him was very educational and great for the assist/death ratio! :D  Great flyer and a great shot.
