Well, I used to live in London, and I'm now ten minutes from a train station that takes me to Waterloo in an hour and a half for only thirty pounds. How do you get to Hendon from central London?
(has a look)
Ah, it's Colindale, almost at the very end of the northern line. I think that's why I didn't go there, because it was on the northern line. Waterloo to Colindale involves a journey of fifteen stops on the northern line. Coming back, I would be sozzled. On the northern line. For forty minutes. Damn, if I could get through that I'd be a real man. I shall mull it over (depends on time off work / weekend business).
The Imperial War Museum is easy to get to, and has a few planes - there's a He162 hovering in the main foyer, and the last time I was there they had the Colditz glider, and there are some tanks, and lots of pocket watches, medals, and logbooks etc.
