I know old thread, but I had a couple questions on it and figured better to dig up the old than start a new.

1) Same as Fencers- what shade of red did you use for the nose?

2) Why did you decide to go with the full-red spinner, not the white-tipped one? It wore that at the end, did you do an earlier version?

3) What were the shades you used for the base OD/Grey? Those are almost perfectly faded looking at period color photos, just wondering what color you used to duplicate it.

Heres Dom and "Shangri-La" returning from the 8 April '44 mission where he got 3. Great look at a beautiful bird.

This is why I'm asking about the spinner btw- it has the same number of kills on the scroll, but not the same spinner. Just curious.

Story on the spinner is that the first coating of fire engine red, essentially wore off and had to be re-done.

I shall go away, and I meant no offense, but asking a follow-up question ("What color red?") is one thing, and posting a dozen images/resources is perhaps another thing.

Isn't this the default P51B skin already?
