I have a film that I wanted to do some voice over stuff with.  I first tried to add voice in the film viewer.  I quickly realized that the film freezes every time the "T" button is pushed

.   Film viewer directions say that this is normal?  I dont understand why?
So I did a quick web search and found a program called "dubit" that can do voice over an AVI file.  I read the AH viewer directions for converting to AVI.  A couple of problems followed......
First I want to run the film a touch slower than normal speed.  If I changed film speed it wouldnt convert to AVI.  Then I said to heck with it and ran it at normal speed.  It did make a file.  I didnt use a codec to compress it.  Film viewer says not to if film is to be modified in AVI format.  First I tried to open it with dubit and it says "Unable to open .avi 800" then it says ".avi does not contain a video stream".
Then I tried media player and it says "cannot find codecs"  So I found a AVI codec pack and installed it.  No good.
Any ideas?
Thx.... Dave
