Nah, just an unreasoning Bushophobe. I agree with Storch; Europia has a lot of those.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Here's an interesting fact to research. Since 1960, more people have been killed by peanuts than by terrorists.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Or you can write about how it's created paranoia towards religion.

How one religion's extremists have hurt all religions and people of faith.

Darn it!  I always thought George Washington Carver was an American hero and great inventor.  Now it turns out he ranks right up there with Bin Ladin!

I figure this would be a good forum to post in for suggestions.  Like I said, the theme is terrorism.  Could range from studying the roll of women and terrorist groups, to the insurgency in Iraq.

Would love to hear some suggestions.  So does anyone have any idea's on what could be an awesome topic, with accessible research?

thanks

I have some research on democratization sitting around collecting dust. This is undergrad? You might be able to toss together some loose "Democratic Regimes decrease terrorist threats" and then show the path to Democracy. From a practical application standpoint it might be cool. Let me know if you want the paper.

Nice sound bite, but I was being serious.  I would think it would be child's play to get a few guys across the US board and go shoot up a mall.  I would be interested in seeing a paper on why this hasn't been done.

I also am being serious.  this is what I believe,  they have us far too close to home and there is a CinC that will shoot and make no bones about it.

How about pointing out that terrorists don't have to win military victories in order to achieve their goals.  All they have to do is survive until the civil population of their enemy nation tires of the struggle and throws in the towel...or undergoes electoral change.

Yeah, it's a great idea...that's why it's been studied so many times already.
