Thursday Snapshot 2/8/07 - First of Many -
« on: February 07, 2007, 11:21:28 PM »
Thursday Snapshot will be "First of Many"

The event starts at 21.00 CET, 3 PM EST.

Welcome all!!!

backround:
On July 4th 1942 the first American bombing raid took place in occupied Europe, 12 Boston bombers in RAF colors, half of them manned by American Personnel, took off to attack a JG 1 field in the Netherlands. Two of the American manned Boston’s and one RAF failed to return. The sight of American Aircraft over their airfields would soon be a thing the German Luftwaffe would be accustomed too. At this time in the war the RAF was still struggling against the FW190. Only a few weeks later after the attack the Spitfire Mk IX would meet the FW190 in combat.

In real life the Boston’s went in with out fighter escort. But to make the event playable we will be adding fighters.
