Cannot connect to Host

Since Sunday I have not been able to log in to AH. Input user name then password and get message "Could not connect to host Do you wish to try the Alt route?"  I answer yes and get message "Could not connect to host" and click on OK button.  I have re installed new version of AH and still same message.  Any advice?

Well after many sleepless hours and multiple cups - o - coffee  I figured out my connection problem.  I do not know if it related to new version of AH but happened coincidentally at update time.

Found that in my internet connection settings in Internet Explorer under the "Tools" menu...go to internet options then to the "Connections" tab at top then to LAN settings and found that  "use a proxy server" was checked.  I unchecked it and left the check mark in Automatically detect settings and now everything back to normal.
