Build my machine...
« on: February 09, 2007, 08:14:55 AM »
I have read and read and read this board and the internet and am more confused than when I started.

I would like suggestions on what I need to run the game well, not necessarly the uber machine as I don't have lots of cash.  I don't want to waste money either on something that won't work well.

I have an case with a 300W power supply, CD and a suitable hard drive.  I need suggestions on a motherboard, processor, video card and amount of memory.  Which ones will run the game well, but not cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks in advance..

[edit: oops wrong forum...  Maybe some nice person will move it]

I can guarantee you that you will need to get a bigger power supply for whatever you build.

This is a very nice unit.  I have had very good luck with Antec PS's.  What you want to look for in a power supply is the "SLI Certified"  If it is it should be a quality piece.  This one is SLI Certified and has modular cabeling.

I would be happy to post my ideas on your build but I need to know what you can spend first....... whats the budget?

Antek 500
