Probably video driver, maybe sound card driver.  Could be a lot of things.

If you email the output of the DXDIAG to support@hitechcreations.com, I will be able to get you an accurate answer.

I emailed a problem to you the other day skuzzy no response as of yet.

Still happening and getting a little depressed about it  for all my knowledge it has to be the crappy nvidia drivers but im stuck with a choice of 2 as its a new card 8800gts.

Ahh, the 8800 video card.  This means you have to use the 9x.xx drivers from NVidia, which have a lot of problems we cannot work around.

About the only thing you can do is stay on top of the drivers they release and hope they get the issues worked out.

rgr skuzzy

As a short term fix I will downgrade my card for a cheapo 7600 256 mb until they come up with better drivers.

Shame to waste money well spent on the latest and greatest for it not to work.  :furious

Without knowing anything about your system, I offer the following:

My wife, about a week ago, did something to my pc that could only be described as fluffied up.  I'm pretty sure it was spyware.  I got rid of the spyware ok, but when I tried to start AH, I got the same result as you are having.  What I did, was back up my settings, skins, and sounds folders, and did an uninstall/fresh install on AH.  That was all it needed.  I'm guessing that whatever she did, or my fix for it, screwed up AH.

Worth a shot anyway.

A 367Mhz Pentium II?

That is what the DXDIAG said you had that you sent me.  Are you sure you sent the right one?
