Waypoint touches land................

Why????

Lets add some increased awareness into naval operations and disable waypoint touches land and allow it, if course not changed, to run ashore and beach itself...

I think unsavory people would go around beaching CV's all over.

Yes Mustaine...but the higher ranking officers can take the CV away from the "unsavory people".  :O

A carrier has a complement of officers who's sole job is to keep the ship from running into the ground. And a screen of ships all doing the same thing as well.

I don't recall a single instance of an accidently beached Carrier in history. Could be wrong though.

No, but I seem to remember when they were towing the BB North Carolina into it's position as a museum on the river at Wilmington, it got away from them and took out a dockside restaurant?  Or maybe I'm thinking about a different ship?

Halsey managed to get part of his screen sunk in a typhoon too, now that I think about it.

But, CV's too easy prey in the game now.  Need not make it harder on them.

Halsey sailed into 2 typhoons.

But I'm not gonna get into Halsey.

Read "The Battle of Leyte Gulf" by Thomas J. Cutler. Thats a pretty good insight into how things can go terribly wrong through the slightest of mistakes or misunderstandings.
