masher.. ok.. fame is a measure of greatness and talent.. how would you explain rap and paris hilton?

Its no big deal... you can be as rude as you want..  just don't come crying here like a little baby girl about how mean someone was to you when you were being so cool.   How they are dumb to not "get" you.

Not everyone gets rush.. they seem embarassing to me.  I would ask that I not have to listen to it.    I have told people to "turn that crap off" when I was forced to listen to rap.   I took my chances just as they did...  they took the chance someone like me would get into their face and I took the chance they would try to kick my ass...

it all works out.  don't matter who started it.

One rude thing I did lately... was on a slight incline at a stop light in my big block...  it is a six speed stick so I was on the brake in neutral (long light).  A woman pulled up behind me in a jap suv of some kind... you know.. the silver kind...  and she got right on my bumper.  I mean right on it.  when the light changed I didn't move for a few seconds cause I had to figure a way to take my foot off the brake and let out the clutch and hit the gas all at the same time.  she got on the horn... hard..

Ok.. so I just let the clutch out.. I coulda idled ahead a tad and then got off the brake and worked the gas but... didn't like her attitude.  she even had a cell phone in her ear... probly was listening to rush....

I dumped the clutch while hitting the gas...  both tires lit up in a spectacular way... I waited till the smoke got bad enough that I couldn't see her jap thingy... plus... I was getting a little out of shape.. and then motored away...  very nice cloud of smoke back there... hope her windows were open..

Was I rude?  sure.  I admit it.   I was not some avenger... I was just being petty but.. it was fun.   You guys may or may not agree with what I did but I didn't have to do it... just as twit boy coulda just turned off his radio till he was done pumping gas.

course... people are just more rude these days... I think talking on a cell phone in public or in line or whatever is pretty rude... I am not interested in your boring conversation with someone miles away about nothing.

I'm not either, but some of you are sure "caring about your being right when Black Sheep was wrong."

If you truly "didn't care", you'd have ignored the thread.   Come on lazs, I don't go out of my way to piss people off, but today's society has been getting more petty.

lazs,

The last time someone did that to me, I was in a beater station wagon with a trailer hitch, and darned if I didn't roll back just a little bit before the clutch engaged, as is typical with young drivers driving old beat up cars.  Punched a hole straight through his bumper fascia.  Oops.

I even explained to the driver how my neck was hurting from when he rear-ended me because he was too impatient.  He didn't bother to leave his name so I guess he didn't think we had anything else to talk about.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

masher... I don't care so much about the situation as the reaction and the whining by black sheep..

Both parties were rude... bs was first and the most defensive.. he coulda defused the whole thing but he didn't.

In the old days.. on construction sights.. there were music wars...  everyone played their music loud enough to be heard... ended up that country and rock and whatever were all competing... was louder than the skil saws at some point...

what ended up was at most sites... radios and music were banned.

if bs likes rush so much... just get one of those ipod thingies and stick it in his ear and we could all look at his stupid ecstatic face instead of having to listen to such crap.   We could still look at him and laugh but we wouldn't have to hear him.

Lazs,

I’d say that she started the rude cycle but she was probably too clueless to realize that she was too close.  When people ride my bumper in traffic I slow down until they back off.

I know how you feel, mate.

There is a street near the city here which is popular with what we call 'sic rehs' (pronounced 'Sick Rays') which is just some lame ethnic stereotype that people who happen to have some distant mediterrainian ancestry seem to embrace whether or not they've actually seen the country they supposedly love more than the one they were born in.....

ANyway, part of this stereotype is to have a ridiculous japanese car (go figure) which is basically a turbo-powered stereo with 4 wheels.

These dicks then proceed to do 'laps' of this trendy street with their sub-woofers at full volume with their windows down and shirts off.

This got so bad here that the council introduced a $500 on-the-spot fine for 'indecent car-stereo noise' :lol

As you'd expect, the music is total ****... bunch of white, ethnic and asian knobs trying to be black.

As for the topic at hand. Give me Rush over 99% of the **** that's on the radio these days hands-down. Disposable pop nonsense and rap bullchit all day long. :noid

Fair enough lazs, good summarization and courtesy, see we're all better now.

FWIW, I miss my 96 F-150 it had a 302 and a manual trans, folks who rode my arse were probably shocked.   If were driving, I'd downshift without warning, they'd slow up.   If we're on a hill, you stop so I cannot see the top of your windshield, I'd let the clutch slide and roll back (one guys actually smoked the tires in reverse, noone was behind him).

The only problem with Ipods and earphones, is that they will get you a ticket.
