six.. you are talking to the wrong guy... it is black sheep who is more likely the abba guy.   Did you hear what he was listening to?   those "musicans" are more my age than his.

my motorcycles and cars are all very loud.   I think they sound great.   I know there are some who don't... I shut em off when I am parked so as not to annoy people.

Polite should not be an age thing.

This guy seems to think people are envious of him..   I am just saying that he is a joke to me until...  he gets impolite.

indeed.  the entire problem really stems from the fact that many younger people have never had the benefit of a well administered bellybutton whipping.

 this stems from the systematic take over of the public education by the hand wringing limp wristed bleeding heart liberals.  allow me to direct you to one of my favorite quotes by the late Robert Heinlein "an armed society is a polite society, manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life".  

extrapolate that concept to the not fatal but equally effective method of a good public thrashing to one such as our thread initiator and his bevy in the peanut gallery.  such an action would provide these petulant and untried gen xers a valuable life lesson.

next time you travel to miami.  PM me.  I'll gladly pick you up at the airport or meet you at your hotel as I have done for more than one poster from this BBS.  if you feel the need or have the urge I can arrange time at a local dojo.  I'll provide you with the necessary protective gear except for a mouth piece.  after you have kicked my bellybutton I'll take you to lunch.

As an older guy .. I don't even bother goin over to the juke-box hero's.

Figure all their taste is in their mouth, and if they're stupid enough to play it loud enough so everyone knows they suck, .. they made their point.

Goin over an tellin them 'dood, you suck' would be redundant.

Askin 'em to turn it down is a waste of time.
I'd prolly end up shovin somethin through their speakers before they got the point, cause those types are purty dense, yanno?
Prolly right after the 'Lawrence Welk' comment.

exactly greyeagle.. we are laughing at the kid with his retro long hair and all in his little crapbox car with the radio on loud enough for us all to hear..... of all things... rush..

the guy is a joke.    He is simply looking for a reaction... he wants the attention.. the older guy politely asked him it it wasn't a little loud and he magnified that into a who generational war thing...  he wants it to be some kind of him against the world thing cause he is so cool and all...  being the only man to ever wear his hair long and able to appreciate..... rush?

what a twit.

yeah right.. it was your long hair and "muscian" status and that really nice car that only someone as hip as you could have.
