Or will the Intel graphics stuff run AHII acceptably?

yes it will run fine.

But check with others with their experience on this.

many of the single processor higher ghz systems and shared vid mem laptops are actually beating the dual core systems with the same vid chips in framerates in many games...BUT that won't last too long AND you can really crunch numbers with a dual core :)

There are many systems out there, like the one I shared above - that have their own memory and that take from the system when needed.  Those are a compromise.

marine that is a nice system with a nice card...but I've seen 'name brand' systems on sale with those specs for around those prices.  You just have to watch for them.  Heck even walmart sells laptops now.  Checking the sunday paper will usually yield the best results when looking for the deals.  You may have to deal with a rebate but you will get a darn good deal.  All a rebate does is ensures that the people selling it still make a profit from what they purchased it for.

Based on the # of laptops out there with rebates, that tells me we are in store for big price drops coming up here.  I would suspect that this March, April and May we will see some nice prices on laptops..

And jewelry but that's another topic hehe.

On a less specific note, keep http://bensbargains.net/ bookmarked and check it out occasionally while shopping too.  There are some great laptop (and LCD monitor and everything else) deals that show up there, might save you a bundle.

I just got a 20.1" widescreen LCD for about $50-75 less than anywhere else via that site.

Woh CHAIR , do you see that AMD chip for $109?? :)  Nice

Not the greatest chip but nice price.  Can't believe it.  I paid $115 for a venice 3200+.  It overclocks very nicely though :)

Would you ever trust something from a Dell Outlet?  (Refurbished/scratch dent/sent new)?
