Cannot connect to host
« on: February 17, 2007, 12:40:38 PM »
Keep getting the same message, cannot connect to the host, wana try the alt route? I click yes....connection to the host failed.
Running a cable connect, reset router, cable box ect...tried to run ping plotter to the server..to no result, tried running ping plotter to other sites, I think the program is to old or something...same results.
Obviously I can get to the messageboards, and anywhere else on the net. Just cannot connect to the host server for some reason. This happened last night for FSO as well. Finnally was able to log in after midnight CST, and once agian this morning with out a hitch. Take a break...viola...same problem.
Any ideas?

Most likely one of your hops to the server is having problems.  Do a tracert to see which one it is.

Looks like my 2nd hop is fried? could this be the router or cable box?

Start by removing the router and connect directly to the cable modem.   If that doesnt work contact your isp and give them this info.
