The fire graphics are glorious but they still seem unrealistic to me...........
Plus we seem to have these raging fires that folk can drive into without fear and yet they are so hot they burn up their own smoke just before they self extinguish
They also act as long range beacons........ in a bomber I can line up on fires long before I can see the airfield or CV in any detail.
Could we therefore replace the fires with a small smoke graphic..........
Hence then when the heavy smoke dissappears we are left with lesser smoke. This lesser smoke need not be any bigger than the present fire graphic it would just represent the reduced smoke that one would expect from a dieing fire.
Could we make it so that vehicles that get too close to fires incurr damage. Even if the machinery can tolerate it can we cook the pilot a bit? maybe induce the onset of blackout? followed (if he/she does not move) by pilot injury (during a permanent black out ) then death.
Ammo bunkers
When an ammo bunker is destroyed can this be acompanied by an almighty explosion? With the same effect as the detonation of several 4000lb cookies on surrounding objects, vehicles, aircraft (air borne or on the ground) within what ever range of the explosion that HTC deem reasonable.
This may
make vehicles think twice about hiding behind ammo dumps
make fighters think twice about low level straffing or close range rocket attacks of ammo dumps.
