I dunno, MT.
Like Mightyboy said, what don't we know about Rudy already? The drag photos? His philandering? All known. His life is an open book at this point.
Same can be said for Hillary. Not much new to learn there.
There is a change worth noting, however; Hollywood does seem to be shifting its alliance. There's an interesting article at
Time.com related to the growing Clinton/Obama friction. A couple of quotes are very telling:
Geffen, a big fund raiser for the Clintons in the past, called Obama "inspirational" and dismissed Hillary Clinton as "overproduced and overscripted." As for her husband, Geffen suggested that his bad-boy days are not behind him: "I don't think anybody believes that in the last six years, all of a sudden Bill Clinton has become a different person." And to top it off, he said this about the two of them: "Everybody in politics lies, but they do it with such ease, it's troubling."
Ouch. Very ouch, baby.
Here's another:
Former Vice President Al Gore has privately told friends that his familiarity with the Clintons' hardball campaign style is one of the reasons he would be leery of making a run against Hillary. Geffen told Dowd he expected a brutal primary because the Clinton "machine is going to be very unpleasant and unattractive and effective."
That comes from a man who knows. What it tells me is that the left isn't so much in love with the Clintons as it is in winning, and the first time someone with a little real charisma comes around, they begin to turn their backs on the tired and tawdry tale that is the Clintons. It may be an indication of another relevant point: the left recognizes the virulent hatred conservatives feel toward Hillary personally and how unifying that hatred could damage the Democratic push for the White House.
It's a calculated risk either way.
