Thank you all for the congratulations. Internet service is sometimes iffy in India and then I was, um, sequestered away from any computer until the wedding. Then there were other things to do....
Anyways, I had help from one of her cousin's husband.
It started outside and there were some bits with her parents washing my feet and marking my forehead, then I marked her father's forehead. After that her uncles carried her out and we stood with a sheet separating us so that we couldn't see eachother. Then that was dropped and we exchanged rings and she gave me a gold necklace. We then sat with her at my right for a bit while the priest chanted some. After being mutually bound with a white cloth we sprinkled oil on a fire to the priest's chanting. Then walked around the fire, sprinkled more oil, walked around it five more times and then stood with her at my left and the priest chanted some more. Then we sat and she was my wife. Then we went inside and people came up and congratulated us, we touched the feet of some of the older people to recieve their blessings. Photos where taken with each group. This went on for hours and she was getting pretty tired of smiling.
I am returning to Mumbai from Pune tomorrow and flying back to the US. I will post photos once I am there.
Thank you all again.
