Who is it again who is reponsible for funding Federal programs?
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Did you read what I wrote?  It was hardly kind towards Walter Reed.  As far as I know the plan is to shut down most if not all of it soon anyway so that might have contributed to the situation.  That being said, its no excuse.

You are interpreting what you want to fulfill your perspective.  It bothers me to see a political shill call others political shills especially when they use subjects like this to do it.

Yes, and it lead me to believe you and I were in agreement the situation at Reed.    That's what confused me about your reaction.

Political shill?    I don't think so.   This SHOULD be as a-political as an issue can get -- another thing which leaves me confused.

I read this:

"Should I draw the conclusion that neocon/rightwingers really aren't all that upset about this shabby treatment of injured vets? Or embarrassed because the story was broke by the liberal Washington Post and can't possibly share the same sentiment as a leftwing rag?"

To be a condemnation of some here who you consider neocons apparently.  It sounds a lot like political rhetoric to me.  I agree that this matter should be a-political as possible since anything short of that is a insult to those there.

As a 100% DAV I have had plenty of experience with underfunded VA medical care.  Unfortunately, this is more the rule than the norm.  These guys deserve more than what they are getting from both the system and those who might use their  plight as a political tool.
