A new era of basetaking~

I did 7 the last tour in vehicles. All were LW areanas.  In reality I should have had two more in vehicles on Monday. I sat at two seprate bases with a m3 at the towns waiting on people to drop only a hand full of buildings each time. The bases were ours but too many people were busy vulching to drop 5 buildings one time and 3 the other.

I fight most of the time, but if a base needs goon I'll take them in, so I could see someone getting 30 in a month with out to much issues. It just gets annoying when people are asking for goon at a base, so you take the time to get them there and then they don't finish off the job at the base.

I said, "I know some guys like to take a stuka, load it with a big bomb, then hit a city or town and blast alot of buildings."

Anyway, I still have no clue how to get the uber rank, if I get over 50 that is what I consider super good for me.

I have tried the stuka thing, not die in fighter thing, so on so forth...other times I just say screw it and fly like a maniac.  Funny thing is last time when I didn't try, my rank was better than when I did try.

So I don't know.  Here is my take on.

If you are ranked better, ur a dweeb who spends too much time playing this game and knows 'little' gamey secrets.

If you are ranked worse, it is because I just have more skill and should justifiably be ranked higher.

Dredjur, its really simple.  You really do have to be dweeeby to get overall high rank.  Just ask SHawk.  Now if your achieving high rank in fighters by "gaming the rank system" then your probably going to get called out on it by folks who have put time into crafting their cartoon airplane dogfighting skills.  Just like the guy who "stuka bombs the factory" but can't hit both FH's lined up on a pad from 15k, yet he gets #1 in bombers.  It's not that folks lose sleep over it, they just occasionally call a dweeeb a dweeeb!  Very simple! :)

As stated before, {and why im not in ma} the new arenas will/have brought the skill level down, as well as the prestige  in being able to take a base in the first place.
Its no ones fault

why bother taking a base?< if you log off and back on the country may be unreachable, and thus all your gains for not...

Granted, that doesn't apply to all of them.  I've had some great fun against NB, even though I've lost a few too many of those and had a couple of good fights against KONG just the other night, but overall most of these guys aren't as good as their rankings.

Just an observation.

Rank isn't a good indicator of one's skill level.

GRILLMAN does this.  He'll ask for volunteers to go with him to the EWA or MWA to milk run the undefended bases.  it's one of the reason why I don't really fly in the MWA anymore.  Got tired of chasing the milk runners across the map.

Get some base captures scored under Attack and you'll be swimming in uber high rank.

Don't let your short time there influence your judgement of skill level of the pilots in the EW. There are dweebs in every arena. There are also very experienced pilots in all arenas. If you keep looking you will find great fights in the EW. I think most of the whiners don't even dare show up in the EW because they cant get the new rides there.

Actually, it was a young tart named SASKID who's always said "Rank don't mean Squat"
I find this to be quite true. I know where I stand against the good sticks in this game, that is what motivates me to get better, not rank...
When some one says to me on 200 "I knew it was you.. I know how good you are... thats why I was running"...( Yes!! it actually happened).. That means more to me than rank.

4XTCH

I didn't say that, I said I know how bad you are and didn't want you to feel bad.
