If you are flying luftwaffe rides, taking off into the trees is quite realistic - especially if you are flying LW arenas.  

In early '45, JG26 had a base that was literally inside a pine forest - they had to do this to be able to hide their rides from the allied jabos.  They would land in a clearing and have their rides pushed under trees to hide them while they were refueled and rearmed.  Takeoffs were just as hairy, as you had to get up and over the trees with a load of fuel & ordnance, and any engine troubles meant that you were going to be kissing the trees.

i think its shift 1, 2 or 3, but one of em changes ur range...put ground vis range on....it might be shift f1, f2, f3

i forgot...it works though.

Just logged off. Kinda POed. Took up a 262 and had a great time scattering the bad guys, even got a kill on a 190. Fuel got low so I RTB to a field 25miles behind the front. Come in for a nice long slow approach. Just about to the runway and BAM A STINKIN TREE IS RIGHT THERE AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY!!!! Really sucks losing 148 perkies because of a tree I couldn't see untill I was right on top of it. I wish the trees werent at the end of the runways EVER!!!    

Circle around and come in from the other end of the runway.  Haven't found one yet that has trees at both ends. Dang     ... maybe I shouldn't have said that. Might have just jinxed myself.
