She is certainly one of just a few who will speak her mind; too bad she's so rude though.  Any intelligent remark she ever makes never be effective thanks to the countless remarks that are stained with such venom.  She's certainly smart enough to take another route with it.  She must enjoy it to not take that other route.

Too bad she isn't very intelligent either.  I still laugh at the interview with a Canadian journalist that made her look like a complete and total idiot.  Which, actually isn't all that hard since she pretty much proves it every time she opens her mouth.

Before you spout the liberal PC drivel, I'm a registered Republican and have been so for close to 20 years.

I'm a republican too.  I think that she definitely is intelligent; unfortunately just not smart.  She'd be able to make her points a lot better if she wasn't spending her entire time sharp-shooting everyone.

Actually, folks like you mistaken her for "not intellgent" due to outrageous statements she makes.  She is very well educated, and a member of Mensa.

I think she is both intelligent and smart, though a bit long in the neck. :D

She does however despise the liberal/socialist/communist agenda and enjoys baiting those adherents.

I guess lamenting that V.P. Cheny wasn't killed in a bomb blast isn't newsworthy

Quote
Maher: What about the people who got onto the Huffington Post – and these weren’t even the bloggers, these were just the comments section – who said they, they expressed regret that the attack on Dick Cheney failed.

Joe Scarborough: Right.

Maher: Now…

John Ridley: More than regret.

Maher: Well, what did they say?

Ridley: They said "We wish he would die.” I mean, it was hate language.

Barney Frank: They said the bomb was wasted. (laughter and applause)

Maher: That’s a funny joke. But, seriously, if this isn’t China, shouldn’t you be able to say that? Why did Arianna Huffington, my girlfriend, I love her, but why did she take that off right away?

Later, the panelists continued the discussion:

Ridley: It’s one thing to say you hate Dick Cheney, which applies to his politics. It’s another thing to say, "I’m sorry he didn’t die in an explosion." And I think, you know…

Maher: But you should be able to say it. And by the way...

Frank: Excuse me, Bill, but can I ask you a question? Do you decide what the topics are for this show?

Maher: Yeah, I decide the topics, they don’t go there.

Frank: But you exercise control over the show the way that she does over her blog.

Maher: But I have zero doubt that if Dick Cheney was not in power, people wouldn’t be dying needlessly tomorrow. (applause)

Scarborough: If someone on this panel said that they wished that Dick Cheney had been blown up, and you didn’t say…

Frank: I think he did.

Scarborough: Okay. Did you say…

Maher: No, no. I quoted that.

Frank: You don’t believe that?

Maher: I’m just saying if he did die, other people, more people would live. That’s a fact.

Despite Maher's outrageous comments, few in the media picked up the story -- although Ann Coulter's comment use of a gay slur in reference to former Sen. John Edwards received widespread attention.

Maher got in trouble once before with his televised comments. After the 9/11 attacks, Maher said on his ABC show "Politically Incorrect" that the hijackers were "warriors" and not "cowards."

Within months the show was canceled.

The GOP has certainly lost its way.  What does the party really stand for?  They are anti-science, anti bio-technology, pro-Mexico, pro-China, pro-war, and pro-Christianity.

Of course Republicans are laughing and cheering as Ann Coulter calls someone a studmuffingot.  Why not?  If you're gay, its wrong and you're going to burn in a pool of lava anyways.  Might as well call them a derogatory name while you're at it!

The Republicans do not have a good history of treating other people very well, and that includes poor Republicans.  I have no idea why so many people living paycheck to paycheck continue to vote Republican.  They are just furthering their own demises.

There is a reason that the majority of professional scientists and academics in the U.S. are Democrat.

Frankly, I don't like the far right OR the far left... problem is, the moderates will never get any airtime because they aren't 'news-worthy'.

Mensa is also Spanish slang for a stupid girl.  How fitting.

I wonder if she's finally figured out that Canada didn't fight in the Vietnam War.

Why, I believe you just came this -->][<-- close to calling the GOP and conservative America white trash. Bigot. Note no smiley.

On top of that, you managed to mischaracterize the entire right in the process. If I wanted to do the same I *might* suggest the abortions you support kill many times more innocent victims each year than all the coalition deaths in the current Iraq war. But, as one of your party shills says, that would be an "Inconvenient Truth".

Don't confuse the lack of support for PC to mean support for Ann Coulter. Unless it furthers your agenda, that is.

Take your time to read some threads here, and you will see why this could lead one to believe just that.
