.....ahhhh but its a great way to learn a lesson. That "tip" you gave MajWoody is  one of the more important things I picked up in that film. Also "Close" is better when shooting. I think thats most likely the "hump" I'm stuck on now.  Also finding the "newbi" base doesn't hurt either  :t

Do you think I could talk Ball in  to sharing his stick settings? The one thing that really caught my attention is that his gun platform is rock steady, no bobbing or bouncing about, ROCK steady. How is this done? When I'm jumping in for the kill i have to contend with the pipper bouncing around like a weazel on crack. I could really land a buttload more kills and a way higher hit percentage if I could get my sights steady like this. I mean, My God, he took out twenty and still had ammo left on egress. He fricken ran out of fuel before cannon. I feel like I must bow before your Uberness, Ball.

I'M NOT WORTHY, I'M NOT WORTHY................

Bubajj, Im sure Ball is willing to share his stick settings.
But i think his rock solid shooting is his thinking ahead. Hes never aiming AT his targets... hes aiming where they WILL BE when his bullets hit. In other word - hes not only aiming where they will be (gun pipper), but also taking neccessary lead into account. You rarely see him "adjust" his aim.

I'll have to see if I can post a movie of me doing an outing in a 262. Then you'd see exactly what I mean. I'd like to see Ball flying some  other stuff.

That is exactly it, you do not track your target, you aim where they will be and tap fire.

I think i use standard stick settings - i have never knowingly changed them.  I am not one of those that spend a long time changing it in order to get it steady.

Here is a Hurricane IIC that schatzi also very kindly hosted for me (she charged a high price for it! ;)).  I posted it for 'Serenity' who was looking for help flying it.  Basically i think it is the perfect defensive plane for flying against large number of cons.  I dont think there is another plane in the game which can kill so many cons so fast.

Thanks Bubba, and good luck with the jet!

Thanks, I'll need to get with Schatzi to help set my stick up. I don't have any of the dampers or dead zones set up. Thanks for the tips Ball, I don't think I've run into you in the field, but maybe some day. I'll fight with any one, anywhere any time. I, unlike some folks, aint a-scared of dyin in a flight sim. Every now and then when I get zapped, I'll be hangin in my chute and a light will go on....." AaaaHaaaa!!! Thats how that's done."

Haven't forgot about the films. Been sick in the flu so haven't had the energy to fly (or do anything else).

Might take some time still before I get some for ya.
