RW on start-up
« on: July 01, 2000, 01:28:00 PM »
I am glad to see that AH now includes Roger Wilco.

However, I already use it and do not need it connecting everyting I go into AH.  Also, virtually impossible to practice offline with this setup as RW keeps reactivating.

Any way to disable the RW at startup.  I already have it as I have used it for years.

Need some help please.  Thanks

They are aware of this and have announced that a patch will be coming out with a RW disable feature.

Tnks for the info Bob. The disable feature is critical. Not happy at all with  the auto start up of RW.

A temporary fix was provided to me by a fellow pilot. Click on control panel and dialup and your dial up connection. Choose to NOT automatically connect. Then hit settings and choose NEVER dial up. Look around for these commands as I can't remember it exactly.

After that your system won't automatically dial out, but it will put up a RW icon.

You'll have to send a dialup icon to the desktop so you can manually dial out when you want to connect.
