saitek and vista

The wife whent out and bought me a new laptop for my trucking job....woohooo!

anywho, I have a saitek x52, and was able to download the drivers from saitek web site....I was able to install the SSt software (I like it....pro's and con's are a different thread) by right click/properties/compatability/ yadda, yadda....

But, when I import my profile from the XP machine, or try to make a new one...it's not recognized.

Saitek says they're coming out shortly with vista capable SST (two weeks?).

Anybody have a comment or fix until then?

Such a fortunate fellow with a wife so considerate! - Hope you still have the old PC to play AH on until the vista thing is sorted

You wil have to use the raw inputs from the stick, instead of the Saitek software.  The game can use the stick without the Saitek software.

Or you can wait until Saitek gets Vista support done for thier software, or you can install Windows XP and use it.

pick up a copy of XP Pro & install it after you format your drive
