Make sure that your speaker settings in Windows are set correctly.  For example, if you are using 5.1 sound, make sure the you have your speaker settings in Windows are set to use 5.1 sound.  Otherwise, you'll loose some sound channels.  This sounds like what you're experiencing.

68zoom....that happens to me alot if i switch around arenas a few times or if i switch from 1 arena to another befor the one i'm in is fully loaded. I loose all sounds but when someone keys up vox or when the wind noise kicks up i can hear everything. The best fix i have found as weired as it may sound is........befor clicking on your aces high icon to start the game bring up your internet explorer....let your home page load...turn off internet explorer and then log on to aces high........always works for me....i dunno if it gives the internet a kick start for your connection or if it gets the sound or video card kicking but it always works for me.

Are you using default sounds or custom ones?
