Briefing rooms
« on: March 09, 2007, 04:43:44 AM »
Nice quiet place for people in a mission to meet. I have seen the use of it in AW. Mission planner puts a name on the room, can accept or deny entry,  everyone IN the room is listed and the room has a private chat window.
Putting a map in the room allows for waypoints to be marked and everyone knows what their role is before the room is dismissed.

Right now...the mission is setup.. you pick a plane and guess what your role is. Everything has to be co-ordinated over the radio or text.

its excellent for squad nights or general mish's

would love to see it someday, It would completley change how missions are carried out.
If there is currently an option like this I havent seen..let me know.

Agree with you Nova, better Mission planner, with a briefing room would be great.  Put it in the wishlist

There will be briefing rooms in CT. They might eventually make their way into MA, since they'll already be built at that time.

What's CT?
It might just be me but. it seems they already have alot of good things
in arena's that gather 30/40 players  and Not in the 300/500 player Arenas
where they are Needed.

Combat Tour, the thing they've been spending most of their time working on.

CT is named, "Combat Tour". It's something HTC is working on and for a while now it's been, "2 weeks away". Here is a link:

EDIT: Man, seeing those towns really makes my mouth water for my B-17 to come zooming in with a formation of bad boys like me.:D

We had exactly the mission planner you're asking for in the past, however it was replaced with a more simple method due to the complaints they aparently received.
A Rook who first flew 09/26/03 at the age of 13, has been a GL in 10+ Scenarios, and was two-time Points and First Annual 68KO Cup winner of the AH Extreme Air Racing League.

Good idea...because...you join a mission...sometimes it is posted the role of plane in mission...but usally planner is telling it over mission chann.
